At SERECO GESTIÓN, we are always seeking ways to offer our clients the best available technologies. One example is the introduction of an innovative sludge removal solution: an eco-friendly, remotely operated dredger for industrial ponds. Not only is it efficient, but it also enhances personnel safety and allows for cleaning without taking the pond out of service, minimizing treatment costs for our clients. The dredger is versatile and can adapt to various situations, including areas that require ATEX-certified equipment (Category II 2G).
Its large extraction capability reduces the duration of maintenance work on the industrial ponds.
Its characteristics make it ideal for working in areas with different lay-outs, including ATEX classified areas.
The system is remote controlled, meaning no need for the presence of personnel inside the industrial pond.
By not stopping the activity, the raft can continue to be used while cleaning tasks are carried out.
The reduction of execution times and keeping the pond operational represent an economic benefit to the client.
Our equipment can work in areas where the location and/or the existence of wildlife require a silent and non-invasive treatment.
This new dredging system operates on a floating pontoon with an articulated arm that removes sludge from deep within the pond without damaging the waterproofing or requiring the pond to be emptied or taken out of service. Regardless of how hard or mineralized the sludge is, our dredger efficiently disaggregates and extracts it with high productivity.
The eco-friendly dredger prevents disturbance to suspended sediments, making it ideal for environments where aquatic life requires a silent, non-invasive, and turbulence-free solution.
SERECO has introduced this new concept of sludge extraction in Spain, working in areas where ATEX equipment is required, providing the option to carry out work in these classified areas.
The sludge extraction machine operates from the surface of the pond, moving across to sweep the bottom and remove all deposited sludge using its submersible arm, which can reach depths of up to 8 meters.
This machine is equipped with a flotation system supported by four pontoons and powered by four independent motors, providing the maneuverability and extraction capacity necessary to work in areas with varying configurations.
It operates through remote control thus making extraction possible with no safety risk for personnel.
The sludge is extracted through a lobular pressure pump with a nominal capability of up to 80 cubic metres per hour (80 m3/hr) that moves the sludge to a reception tank through a floating pipe. With this extraction system there is no need for contact with the bottom of the industrial pond, thus avoiding any possible damage to the structure or its covering.
As previously mentioned, the machine operates through remote control from the edge of the premises, and this it makes it possible to carry out the work without the need to stop industrial pond activity and without endangering personnel.
This dredger is ideal for the scraping of refinery pits, water purifying plants and Residual Water Treatment Plants (RWTP) for industrial processes, also for dredging marinas or port areas and for cleaning of irrigation industrial ponds, etc.
Together with our mobile sludge dewatering units (filter presses and/or centrifuges, depending on the case) and our decanting and thickening systems, we form an on-site sludge treatment solution capable of tackling the most challenging tasks with reliability, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
This process reduces the amount of waste to be transported and managed at the final destination while enabling significant water recovery for potential reuse.
Laboratorio Oficial Madariaga (LOM) has homologated our ATEX drag.
